Empowering creativity, inspiring confidence and, crafting brighter futures.
Our Vision
A society where women and communities are empowered with practical skills, confidence, and creative opportunities to improve well-being, achieve financial independence, and live fulfilling lives.
Our Mission
Skilled Hands Organisation CIC exists to inspire and support people, especially women facing unemployment, low income, and those with caring responsibilities in Nottingham—through artisan craft workshops that reduce isolation, build confidence, and create pathways to wellbeing, enterprise, and opportunity.
While women remain our priority, we inclusively engage children, young people, and the wider community through accessible and paid programmes that strengthen skills, creativity, and community cohesion.

Our Core Values
Empowerment Through Skills
We believe practical, hands-on skills can transform lives. Our workshops are designed to uncover hidden and underused talents, build confidence, and support pathways into employment, volunteering, and small business start-up.
Inclusion & Community
Women are our priority, but not our limitation. We create safe, welcoming spaces that bring people together, reduce isolation, and strengthen community bonds across generations and backgrounds.
Wellbeing & Sustainability
We champion the therapeutic power of craft to support mental wellbeing and personal growth. Through ethical making, upcycling, and sustainable practices, we promote care for individuals, communities, and the environment.
