Beginner Sewing Course – 4-Week Block

Have you always wanted to learn how to sew — or pick it up again after years away?

Skilled Hands Organisation CIC is running a 4-week beginner sewing course designed for adults who want to build confidence on a sewing machine and create practical items they can use at home.

This course is perfect for beginners and those who have some sewing experience but feel rusty.

What you’ll learn:

• How to thread and operate a sewing machine

• Changing needles and understanding basic settings

• Sewing straight lines with confidence and control

• Improving stitching accuracy and speed control

• How to insert a zip

• Using your skills to complete real sewing projects

What you’ll make:

• A cushion cover

• A tote bag

All materials are provided, and participants will receive a Skilled Hands Certificate of Achievement on completion of the course.

Course details:

• Duration: 4 weeks

• Day: Tuesdays

• Morning class: 10:00am – 12:00pm

• Evening class: 5:00pm – 7:00pm

• Cost: £98 for the full course

• Class size: 9

This is a relaxed, supportive learning environment where you’ll gain practical skills and leave with something you’ve made yourself.
